Ingredients
1 large bunch fresh basil
2 ripe avocados
½ cup hemp seeds
zest and juice of one lemon
3 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
½ cup avocado oil
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse until well combined. If you like a rustic look and still slightly chunky do not over blend. If you want the pesto completely smooth, blend longer. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Try a little red pepper flakes.
To use with pasta, cook your pasta per instructions, reserve a cup of pasta water. Add your cooked pasta to a warm sauté pan, add spoon fulls of avocado pesto add a little of the pasta water at a time to thin pesto.

Great on any pasta, whole grain toast, bruschetta, use your imagination!
