Bella’s Blizzard Cookies

Bella’s healthy, adult chocolate chip cookies… I am just assuming most kids would prefer traditional. The rye and wheat flour give great flavor, as well as the Kahlua.

  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale

12 tablespoons butter softened

1 cup white sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

23 tablespoons Kahlua

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

5 ounces Sunrise Flour Mill Rye flour

5 ounces Sunrise Flour Mill Whole Wheat Pastry Flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1  teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Pre heat oven to 350* Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper.

In a  medium size bowl add your flours, salt, baking soda & powder give a good stir to blend the ingredients. In a mixing bowl cream together the butter and the sugar.  Add the vanilla, eggs and Kahlua and beat until  nice and fluffy. Mix in the dry ingredients , add the chocolate chips and pecans and mix until well distributed.

Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop  and form nice cookie balls. Space them evenly on the cookie sheet pan.

Bake 9 – 12 minutes, depending on the size of cookie and your oven. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before removing them to a baking rack.
