Instant Pot Braising for BBQ

Who is getting ready for Memorial Weekend? Its only one week a way. As promised after the LIVE FB DEMO yesterday I will give you the step by step for braising pork spare ribs, pork belly and pork butt in the Instant Pot.

Rub: t really was so easy. So you first want to prepare the BBQ Rub https://bellabistro.com/bellas-bbq-rub/ Remember this recipe makes a a lot of rub, so only want to take out as much as you need and store the rest in an air tight container. I used this rub on the ribs, belly and butt and still have plenty left over.

Braising Liquid: One bottle of beer of your choice about 12 ounces or cup and a half. If you do not wish to use beer you may use a broth or a juice. You need 1 1/2 cups of liquid to braise in the instant pot. One teaspoon of liquid smoke and 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar.

Place your instant pot rack down in the inner pot, add your liquid then place your pork product that has been seasoned down on the rack. Secure your lid, make sure the pressure valve is set to sealing.

Timing:

Pork Spare Ribs 30 minutes with a 15 minute natural release.

Pork Belly 40 minutes with a 20 minute natural release.

Pork Butt 45 minutes with a 15 minute natural release.

Flank Steak 30 minutes with a 10 minute natural release.

Additional Notes: I purchase my pork belly at Edwards Meats http://edwards-meats.com/ in my LIVE DEMO I was working with half a belly about 4 pounds with skin off. You may want to pre-order. This is a specialty item.
